King George Aviation is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR to instruct student pilots in procedures and techniques of flying aircraft. At King George Aviation, we share your passion and dream of flight. Our mission is to train a new generation of pilots with new generation aircrafts so they can serve the aviation industry with the highest level of airmanship and safety standards.Applicant can expect $37/hour and 30 hours a week.
Qualifications Required:

Education: – Completion of secondary school and graduation from a certified flying or aviation school are required.- A university degree or college diploma may be required.- A commercial pilot’s or an airline transport license is required.- Transport Canada ratings and endorsements to provide instructions on different types of aircrafts are required.
– Class 2 instructor rating or more is required.

Work Experience: – At least 2 years of experience as an instructor is required. – Ultra light instructor rating is required.- Should have 200 hours of ultra light experience or more.- Air taxi flight & US flying experience will be an asset.- Should have 1200 hours or more.
– Should be able to do maintenance on engines/aircrafts.

Flying instructors perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Instruct student pilots in procedures and techniques of flying aircraft and in ground school subjects such as Navigation, Radio Procedures and Flying regulations.
  • Train licensed pilots for additional certifications.
  • Conduct pre- flight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure that weight and balance specifications are met.
  • Co- ordinate flight activities with ground crews and air – traffic control, inform crew members of flight and test procedures and direct activities of aircraft crew during flights.
  • Conduct flight test and monitor functioning of aircraft equipment and systems during flights, maintain communications with weather forecasters and report and in-flight malfunctions or emergencies.
  • Prepare flight evaluation reports.

Flight Instructor will be undertaking the responsibilities of Chief Flight Instructor.
